Meet the pup that cruises the roads in style – wearing its own goggles in a custom-built pod with his owner behind the handlebars.
Staffordshire Terrier Harley, five, has been riding with his owner Sergio Rodríguez Gil, 47, since he was just three months old.
Sergio built the fiberglass capsule, which features a ventilation system for the summer months and thermal blankets for the winter.
The biker duo travel around Spain together and draw crowds wherever they go.
Sergio, from Galicia, Spain, said: “People are always stopping us for photos and videos.
“Kids love him – they stroke him and go wild.
“And Harley loves people too!”
Harley used to ride directly on a base on top of the tank that Sergio made out of leather and sponge.
But after seeing how much his pup loved riding, Sergio came up with the idea for the capsule.
He said: “When I saw that he loved it and didn’t want to get off even relaxing so much that he’d fall asleep on rides.
“That’s when I started thinking and came up with the idea of making the capsule “
Harley’s very own travel capsule attaches to the motorcycle.
Sergio made sure his dog’s safety and comfort were a top priority.
The capsule is designed to fit Harley perfectly in a lying position, includes thermal blankets for the cold and a ventilation system for the summer heat.
He said: “This breed suffer in the heat so I made sure the pod has proper airflow and I always carry water.
“I ride slowly and calmly.
“It’s like travelling by bicycle.”
Harley loves riding so much and gets so excited that he sometimes needs a pit stop just minutes into the ride.
Sergio said: “He gets that happy.
“I have to stop the bike because he literally needs to poop from excitement!
“It’s amazing to see how much he loves riding.
“He associates me with the bike from a young age — he gets excited just hearing the sound of a motorcycle, whether it’s mine or my friends’.”
The pair love quiet roads with little traffic, whether in the mountains or by the sea.
