What breed is your dog, their name and how old are they?
Isaac is a caramel coated Cavoodle cutie! He just turned 5 years young on Halloween which officially makes him our little howl-o-ween baby. It’s a fitting birthday for him given his playful and slightly mischievous personality.
Why did you decide to create an Instagram account?
We started Isaac’s Instagram account with a handful of puppy photos that were too cute not to share. It felt like the perfect way to document his growth and adventures over the years and connect with other like minded dog owners.
What sort of content do you share?
The content we post is a mix of Isaac’s everyday adventures and special events. He loves beach walks, play dates with his doggy friends, and attending pet-friendly events. He is also a brand ambassador for a raw food company which means we get to share insights into his diet and wellness routine. On top of that Isaac recently started as a therapy dog which we are extremely proud of him for so we hope to capture some of his moments at work too
What sort of posts are the most popular for you and why do you think that is?
Our most popular posts are the ones where Isaac is out and about with his furry friends! There’s just something adorable about dogs having the time of their lives together and I think that joy resonates with other dog owners.
Where are your followers from?
Most of our followers are based in New Zealand but we’ve also connected with people in Australia, the US, and the UK. It’s amazing to see how far Isaac’s adventures can reach and how many people enjoy following his journey.
How do you promote the account?
We don’t do any formal promotion. We try to post regularly and engage with other accounts which naturally helps us grow and stay connected.
What are the best things about running your Instagram account?
The community hands down!
We’ve met so many amazing humans and their pups through Isaac’s account. We’ve met some wonderful people both online and in person and it’s led to fun meetups, collaborations, and lasting friendships.
Are there any challenges?
Keeping up with all the posts and content can be a bit of a juggle but we enjoy it so its never really feels like a chore.
What are your goals for the Instagram account?
To keep doing what we love and sharing Isaac’s adventures, connecting with fellow dog lovers, and making new friends along the way.
