What breed is your dog, their name and how old is he?
He’s a Great Dane by the name of Moose, and he’s 7 months old
Why did you decide to create an Instagram account?
We started just as fun for a place to show his growth. I followed a few Dane accounts before getting him so wanted to spread the Dane love in the same way
What sort of content do you share?
Pretty much Moose being Moose, as his personality has come out more with age, it’s easier to caption things.
What sort of posts are the most popular for you and why do you think that is?
Videos of him being active are the most popular, anything funny or unique. Danes have such awesome personalities, and I think it’s because he’s still a puppy but larger than a full grown dog always surprises people.
Where are your followers from?
Mainly New Zealand and Australia
How do you promote the account?
We don’t promote moose’s account, more just want to share how moose is loving life. We do like the Instagram dog community, and have got to know some awesome dogs through the account.
What are the best things about running your Instagram account?
Sharing what we love about Moose, so others can get some joy too. We keep in touch with his breeder and brother (@sirbrucethedane) through Instagram. It’s a nice touch point
Are there any challenges?
I would say getting the right shot with a 7 month old puppy is challenging! Being at the right place right time with a camera isn’t always aligned.
What are your goals for the Instagram account?
For people to love Moose as much as we do.
