What breed is your dog, and how old are they?
She is a blue English Staffordshire Bull Terrier, commonly known as a Staffy or Blue Staffy. She has just turned 5 months old.
Why did you decide to create an Instagram account?
We started the account just for fun to document her growth and share all the fun, adventures, and milestones along the way.
What sort of content do you share?
A mix of Frankie’s everyday life, some silly moments, and new adventures. As she still quite young she is experiencing many things for the first time and it has been fun to share those moments with fellow dog lovers.
What sort of posts are the most popular for you and why do you think that is?
Anything that shows her personality and playfulness. Staffy’s are known to be very social dogs, and Frankie loves interacting with people, other dogs, and anyone who gives her attention!
Where are your followers from?
Mainly the UK, US and Australia.
How do you promote the account?
We don’t promote the account, we just like to share things as they happen and let her account grow organically.
What are the best things about running your Instagram account?
There is an amazing community of Staffy’s out there and we have enjoyed seeing the similarities in character and behaviours, and watching pups the same age grow and develop in the same way Frankie has. We’ve also met so many cool dogs of all kinds from all over the world through Frankie’s account.
Are there any challenges?
It can be challenging to get a good photo of a 5 month old puppy, but we don’t worry too much about getting the perfect shot, and just post when we feel like it. Often the best photos or videos are the ones that are less refined – that’s when Frankie’s personality really shines through!
What are your goals for the Instagram account?
To keep sharing Frankie’s life and connecting with other awesome pups.
